Update on me!

Well, I will admit that this pregnancy has been pretty rough. The first 4 months were like hell, with morning sickness 24 hours a day. It didn't let up until I was well into my 16th week. I still throw up at times, but it is fewer and farther between.

Luckily, I've been pretty pain free. I had one night where I had nerve pain in my back and down my legs. Then the very next day I had arm pain down both arms. But it seems to have passed.

Gestational Diabetes is kicking my butt. Luckily, I'm trying to control it with diet, but a treadmill would be ideal. The nutritionist said that walking on a treadmill (cause I'm a baby about the cold outside) is the very best thing I could do, as it opens up your cells to receive the food that is needed, much like how insulin acts. But we just can't afford a treadmill, so I am waiting till it gets warm enough to walk outside.

My doctor is also checking some other things, as I have bouts of fatigue that hurts so bad I almost cry. You know, the bone crushing kind of fatigue. She is checking vitamin levels, thyroid, and iron. Maybe I'll find something out, maybe not. Could just be lyme.

Emotionally it is hard also. Not being able to help with the kids and the house at times has definitely put a strain on the family. My sweet hubby takes up the slack, but he works a full job and sometimes it's hard on him to have to do my job too. But we manage as best we can.

ok, did I vent enough????

Now the good stuff....

We are having a precious BOY! For those of you who don't know, we have 3 girls. And now, we get to have blue in the house! We are so excited, shocked, and a little weary of trusting the sonograms. Even though it was really obvious, we are reluctant to fully believe until the little guy is in our arms...BECAUSE they told us our 2nd child was a boy. HA HA HA! NOT!

That's right, up until my last sonogram (which was on the day I was due) we were told it was a boy. So, you can understand our hesitancy. But I'm still so excited and just can't really fathom what it would be like to hold a little boy!

We continue to pray for health for this baby, for a lyme-free pregnancy, and for NO RELAPSE for momma!

We also have to start looking for baby stuff! We have NOTHING, as we thought we were done. Luckily, I have some friends letting us borrow/have some clothes. So, I mostly need diapers, formula, swings, a baby seat, toys, things like that. Finances are tight, so I'm glad garage sale season is starting soon!

That's how I've been doing. Taking one day at a time. I'm 22 weeks, so a little over half-way.

Sending out all my love and hugs to all my lyme peeps!
