My girls are starting to notice my vast array of medications to help fight my lyme disease. It makes me sad to think that one day I will have to explain to them that mommy has a very dangerous infection that is not going to go away. That I will have to be on medications just to survive, and that there is a possibility that I might have passed it on to them. My heart will break to see the confusion in their eyes, the sadness, the fear.
I'm hoping my antibiotic regimen that I'm currently on is protecting my unborn child. I pray that he is not only protected from my infections, but also protected from any side effects from the medications and sicknesses I have endured.
I pray with all my heart that my kids never know the destruction and pain of lyme disease.
I will pray with you also. Praying that your kids remain healthy and untouched by lyme.
